Whitewater Springs Dam Improvement Project – Phase I & II
Description:
The Whitewater Springs Dam Improvement Project (Phases I & II) involved the structural and functional rehabilitation of an existing dam to improve stability, hydraulic capacity, and flow control. The scope included excavation at the spillway and overflow areas, embankment fill placement and compaction, crest leveling, and construction of diversion berms.
Additional work included the decommissioning of the existing spillway, construction of a new reinforced concrete spillway, installation of corrugated metal pipes beneath roadways, placement of riprap and protective rock blankets, check dams, sediment control measures, and revegetation, resulting in a reinforced and fully operational dam structure.
